Note: These Terms & Conditions apply to services provided by Safari by Max (TMI Mariia Ogarkova, Y-tunnus 3480576-3). Please read them carefully before making a booking.

2. Definitions
Company / we / us: Safari by Max (TMI Mariia Ogarkova).
Customer / you: The person making the booking and all participants included in it.
Services: Guided snowmobile tours and related services such as transfers, meals, and equipment rental.
3. Booking and Contract
- A binding contract is formed once the customer receives a booking confirmation from the company.
- The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all participants under the same booking.
- A valid driving licence (Class B or equivalent) is required to operate a snowmobile.
- Bookings are confirmed only after full payment, unless otherwise agreed.
4. Prices and Payments
- All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.
- Payment is made through Bókun, by card, or other available methods shown during booking.
- Payment must be completed at the time of booking, unless agreed differently.
- Gift cards or vouchers are valid until their stated expiry date and are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- The customer must provide accurate personal information for all participants (names, ages, health conditions, etc.).
- The customer must be ready for pickup at the time and location stated in the booking confirmation.
- Late arrival or absence from the pickup point is considered a no-show, and the tour fee will not be refunded.
- The company is not obligated to wait for late participants to avoid delaying other guests and scheduled tours.
- Participants must follow the guide’s safety instructions at all times.
- Alcohol or drugs are strictly prohibited before and during the activity.
6. Company’s Right to Make Changes
- The company may modify the route, duration, or content of the tour due to safety concerns, weather, snow conditions, technical reasons, or other circumstances beyond its control.
- If the company cancels a tour for safety or operational reasons, customers are entitled to a rebooking, credit, or refund according to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Customer Cancellations and Changes
- Cancellations and changes are subject to the terms stated in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
- Cancellations are valid only after written notice is received by email at safaribymax@gmail.com.
8. Safety and Insurance
- A safety briefing is provided before each tour.
- The company supplies protective equipment: helmet, balaclava, thermal suit, gloves, and boots.
- All snowmobiles are insured according to Finnish law.
- In case of damage caused by the driver, a deductible (self-liability) applies.
- The deductible amount is €900 per snowmobile and incident; the remaining repair costs are covered by the company’s insurance.
- Customers confirm they have been informed of this condition before the tour.
- Personal travel insurance is strongly recommended.
- The company is not responsible for indirect losses or the loss of personal belongings.
9. Age and Participation
- Minimum driver age: 18 years with a valid driving licence.
- Children may participate only as passengers; the recommended minimum height is 120 cm.
- The guide may refuse participation to anyone under the influence or unable to operate the vehicle safely.
10. Force Majeure
The company is not responsible for delays, route changes, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond its control, such as severe weather, technical failure, accidents, strikes, or government restrictions.
11. Liability
- The company’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific tour.
- Nothing in these Terms limits the customer’s statutory consumer rights under Finnish law.
