1) Safety Principles
- Zero tolerance for alcohol or drugs before and during the activity.
- Guide authority: The guide may change the route, pace, or terminate participation to ensure group safety.
- Ready for pickup: Customers must be ready at the stated pickup time and location (see booking confirmation). Late arrival is treated as a no-show.
2) Briefing & Provided Equipment
- Mandatory safety briefing before departure. Follow all instructions at all times.
- Provided gear: helmet, balaclava, thermal suit, gloves, boots. Personal gear must meet winter safety standards.
- Keep helmets fastened; secure loose clothing and long hair; remove dangling accessories.
3) Driving Rules (Snowmobile)
- Valid driving licence (Class B or equivalent) required for drivers.
- Keep safe distance, follow tracks, no overtaking unless the guide instructs otherwise.
- Adjust speed to terrain, visibility, weather, and the guide’s instructions.
- Stay on marked routes. Respect reindeer and other wildlife; stop only when and where the guide permits.
4) Weather & Environmental Conditions
- Tours run in Arctic winter conditions; operations may be adjusted or cancelled due to poor visibility, storms, extreme cold, or avalanche/ice risks.
- Follow leave-no-trace principles. Do not litter. Respect protected areas and local Sámi culture.
5) Health & Fitness
- Inform us in advance about medical conditions, injuries, medication, pregnancy, or special needs relevant to safety.
- Not recommended for people with severe back/neck problems without medical clearance.
- Dress in warm layers, hydrate, and report any discomfort immediately to the guide.
6) Children & Passengers
- Children participate as passengers only; recommended minimum height 120 cm.
- A responsible adult must supervise each minor in their care throughout the tour.
7) Accidents, Incidents & Insurance
- In case of an incident: stop safely, inform the guide, and follow emergency procedures.
- Snowmobiles are insured according to Finnish law. For driver-caused damage, a deductible (self-liability) of €900 per snowmobile and incident applies; remaining costs are covered by the company’s insurance.
- Personal travel insurance is strongly recommended for medical and travel-related expenses not covered by our insurance.
8) Personal Property
- The company is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.
- Use protective cases for phones/cameras; secure items before riding.
9) Photography & Consent
- Photos/videos may be taken during tours.
- We will request explicit consent before using identifiable images for marketing. Consent can be withdrawn anytime by emailing us.
10) Refusal of Service
- The guide may refuse participation or remove a participant who appears intoxicated, behaves dangerously, ignores instructions, or poses a safety risk to the group.
